The Blackpool Tower - one of the very few attractions that can be seen for miles. Opened to the public on 14 May 1894 and standing just over 380 feet tall. At night the tower is lit up by 10,000 light bulbs, total cost to build the tower was about £290,000. Walk out if you dare onto the five centimetre thick glass viewing platform, where you can look out into the Irish Sea and see the famous Blackpool Promenade below you.
